Apanemia Rooms

Rethymno was originally built during the Minoan civilization (ancient Rhithymna and Arsinoe).The city was prominent enough to mint its own coins and maintain urban growth. One of these coins is today depicted as the crest of the town: two dolphins in a circle.

Apanemia started in 1998 as a seaside tavern with rooms for rent on the east side of Triopetra beach or locally known as Commando beach.
It is headed by the Koumantakis family with Stelios and Stavros being responsible after the retirement of their mother Anastasia and father Lefteris.
The beach is sandy and gently slopes into the warm Libyan Sea. The beach is protected by the rocks of Triopetra and is great for snorkelling and fishing.
